Thursday July 13, 2019 - Peguis First Nation held the first ever Box Lacrosse demonstration game in the Peguis Arena. This past week, Youth1st Lacrosse started up our workshops with Sandy Bay, Manitoba for the season. Great to see so many returning faces from last year and that the skills and passion for the game continue to grow. I am always impressed by the natural lacrosse talent in Sandy Bay. Having an absolute blast with these athletes from the Seven Oaks School Division - Elwick School. So much natural talent and each week we are seeing huge progress. Today's consecutive passing/catching record was 41 (up from 26 last week). Students are learning essential Physical Literacy skills while developing hand/eye coordination, learning the importance of dynamic warm ups prior to competing, and finding their individual confidence through the Creator's Game.
