The scheduled events include an Introduction to Lacrosse workshop and match competition between teams from Portage La Prairie, Roseau River First Nation, and Long Plain First Nation, who will be competing for The Two Rivers Cup. Fantastic prize draws for players, fans, and spectators will be awarded following the games.
“Everyone is invited to celebrate Canada’s National Summer Sport at Manitoba’s historic meeting grounds,” says Youth1st Lacrosse Founder, Don Jacks. “Aspiring young lacrosse players, community youth development leaders and teachers who wish to include new programs in their recreational curriculums will be especially interested.”

ABOUT THE FORKS:
A perfect venue to celebrate the Creator’s Game, The Forks is one of Winnipeg’s most beloved places, at the junction of the Assiniboine and mighty Red Rivers. It has been a meeting place for over 6,000 years. Early Indigenous peoples traded at The Forks, followed by European fur traders, Métis buffalo hunters, Scottish settlers, riverboat workers, railway pioneers and tens of thousands of immigrants. The venue is Winnipeg’s number one tourist destination with more than four million visitors annually.
